Welcome to El Timon Tacos Tequila & Bar, Merrillville’s newest and most exciting Upscale Mexican Restaurant.
El Timon Tacos serves Veleros Mexican Cuisine. This remarkable cuisine was first introduced to Northwest Indiana when Venni Valle opened Veleros in neighboring Valparaiso. In a sea of great restaurants, it was Veleros fresh seafood and upscale Mexican cuisine that left everyone talking.
Word traveled fast, and soon Veleros had a huge following in Merrillville. It became clear, Merrillville would be a perfect location for opening a second Veleros. To distinguish the two restaurants, Valle chose the name El Timon. El Timon has a full bar.
